Cyber security risk is one of the most dangerous risks most organizations face.  According to a  recent NYSE study, 66% of organizations are less than confident they are properly secured against cyber attacks.  It also mentioned one in five board directors indicate they only discussed cyber security after an internal incident or one in the same industry.

In a recent article on Medium.com, Eric Brown writes about who is responsible for cyber risk oversight and why most of the blame is put on CEO. He makes a point that we believe is applicable to all organizations. Yes, the chief executive has cyber responsibility, but boards may play an important oversight role.
